Channel listings for ATSC

I'm toying with setting up an antenna & looked at schedules direct & noticed the channel listings for the digital broacast are 3.1, 6.1, etc.

Would I need to do any sort of mapping or can GBPVR handle channel #'s with the decimal?

Within the config app, you should have an option to scan for digital channels and map them to what you pull down from schedules direct. You will need an ATSC tuner card/device (I don't see one in your sig).

I don't have an ATSC tuner yet - I'm just toying with the idea.

It's an additional step compared to how you setup your analog tuners but yes, it's builtin and easy to setup.

As an example, I have three sources for channel 31. Dish Network's has it as 31, my analog OTA is channel 22, and my ATSC is 22.1
I mapped both the analog and ATSC to 31 to make it easy to have a full recording schedule during prime time without conflicts.

Mapping is part of configuring the digital channels (ie. KDFWDT can map to 4.1 in my system, while KDFW can map to 4 analog in a different capture source)
Since I don't use analog on my main PVR, I just map KDFW to 4.1 to increase the WAF and eliminate the following question: "Just what is this DT thing on the end of the station number...?"

I assume you have your OTA tuners listed ahead of your Dish Network capture so that it doesn't get stuck recording a duplicated channel when you want to record ESPN or something...
