InnoDV Tvideo - 650 Hybird USB

Hi all,

I'm a total newbie to all this DVB-T stuff, so I could use some assistance. I'm considering getting an InnoDV Tvideo 650 Hybird USB for my system that will arrive next week. I'm not seriously into Digital TV, but would like something, simple and inexpensive, so I can watch and record the occasional program from FreeviewHD service here in New Zealand.

By the way, I'll be running this on a Core 2 Duo (E6550), ATI HD 2600 XT PCIe 256MB, 4GB RAM, 500GB Sata HD, 22" LCD, Vista Business (32bit) PC.

P.S. It would be great if someone responded promptly, as I'm considering picking up the Tuner tomorrow.

I dont know of anyone else using the this device, but if it has BDA drivers (likely), then it should work as a digital device.

Hi all,

Well, I've been struggling with this cute little USB box for severl days now, and I'm not getting any love from it on the DVB-T side of things. Analog works fine though with an OEM program included in the box.

When I set GBPVR up using the Generic USB DBV device, I get a failed to connect message from it.

What do you need me to do to help solve the problem?

I'm not aware of any Generic USB DVB device option. Run the filtercheck.exe utility from the gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log and I'll tell you want to add to the bda.ini file to get it working for DVB-T.

The analog side of this device will not be usable in GB-PVR since it lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

Here ya go, and thanks for the help. Regarding the analog side: perhaps allowing a software MPEG2 encoder, for those devices that lack one, would be a useful option for a future version of GB-PVR.

Sorry I wont be adding support for software encoders. They're more trouble than they're worth.

Try adding the following to your bda.ini file, then it should show up as an option when you setup a digital capture source.
