Thanks. May I ask that for the moment while I'm doing a revision that we put the changes through me, so I can keep my head on it?

Don't want to turn anyone off from helping though!!!Big Grin

Anyone field the streaming/file sharing question?

I want to clean this up...

Quote:* What do you lose by choosing ''' Overlay''' to speed things up, rather than [=VMR9=]?
** The ability to change the Aspect Ratio (F7 on the keyboard) when viewing e.g. [=DivX=] Movies.
** Please note that Win2k doesn’t support [=VMR7=] or [=VMR9=]. So its overlay mode or nothing.

With overlay you also loose transparency on any popups like the OSD and Live Guide.
Although you gain some CPU time.

What does the -FSE command line switch do, if anything?

Nothing now. It used to tell the app to use the VMR9 Full Screen Exclusive video renderer. Instead of the command line you can now just select this as the video renderer on the playback tab of the config app.

I'll add a mention of this obsolete switch in the wiki

Before I proof the config wiki, There's still a lot of stuff missing...

Is there anything else that stands out as information that is promptly required?

How about priority? When I saw the Configuration box for the first time, my first questions were:

"Which items on these tabs do I NEED to configure in order to do what I want to do?" (In my case, I wanted to record TV onto my standalone computer; I was uninterested in streaming, or burning DVDs).

and

"Can I leave any of these as the default? Which of these do I HAVE to change?"

Also, what do BDA, PVRX2, NMT, DVB, and MVP stand for? At the time, at least, I couldn't find these defined in the wiki.

I strongly wish that some developer creates a setup wizard for GB-PVR. I still have not been able to get it to work.
