Hiya [Image: smile.gif]

Purchased one of these a couple of days ago and decided to give it a try with GB-PVR. Having looked around the forums I don't think anyones tried this particular model, so I thought I'd give it a go/

It didn't work straight away but adding this to the bda.ini file seems to do the trick:

[Lifeview FlyDVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=713x BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=713x BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I *think* thats all correct...

It seems to work but at current I can't pick up *all* freeview channels, just some, but I'll keep at it [Image: smile.gif]

Cheers, I've added it to the master BDA.ini file.

There is some improvements in scanning in the next release that may help you find your extra channels.

No problems [Image: smile.gif]

The original software for this card is very very simple and doesn't work all that well with my set up [Image: sad.gif]

One of the problems I had with the original software was it could only pick up some channels. After emailing support they sent me a new file to add into the list and suddenly I was able to pick up nearly all channels!

The file is a .dat file so I suspect it probably contains more specific information regarding the "frequencies" that digital TV is broadcast on.

And if you like, I'm quite happy to test a new version to see if that improves the amount of channels I can recieve, but thats totally up to you of course [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks [Image: smile.gif]

You might want to check the frequencies listed in your transponder file in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-T. These frequencies may be missing a frequency for you area.

Sorry, I'm not sure what area Doncaster would come under, so you'll need to find the appropriate file yourself.

Doncaster is in South Yorkshire, not very far from Sheffield [Image: smile.gif]

Well, from what I gather (and from trying) I get signals from:

Belmont
Sheffield
Emley Moor

I get the most channels with Emley Moor.

Looking closely I don't think there's that many channels missing but the obvious two that are currently missing are BBC Three and BBC Four. As I write this, those two channels aren't currently transmitting but they are timeshare channels and currently CBBC and Cbeebies are transmitting.

I will check later and list all the channels to found out whats there and whats not. I will also rescan after 7pm and see if BBC Three and BBC Four appear [Image: smile.gif]

Of course, this could be the transmitter itself playing up for all I know!

FYI
You'll find these after 7pm.
Scan & map then.

Puck: Thanks for that info [Image: smile.gif]

I've been reading up on recording (I don't have a seperate remote although there is a remote supplied with the card along with a reciever which plugs into it), so I'm using keyboard shortcuts.

Can someone confirm that pressing CTRL-K will immediately start recording the currently selected in Live TV mode because at current it doesn't seem to do anything for me at least.

Also pressing CTRL-Q causes an error. As soon as I do CTRL-Q GBPVR says "Starting Timshift Mode. Please Wait". This displays for several seconds then up pops an error regarding "gbpvrrecordingservices.exe" and wants to send the information to Microsoft. It apparently wants to send "appcompat.txt" and "gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.mdmp". This information can be supplied obviously, just tell me which way [Image: smile.gif]

I can repeat this everytime even after rebooting.

This is using GBPVR09010 and Lifeview FlyDVB-T.

PS Sorry if I'm a pain, just a) this works much much better than the original software b) I'd like to get it working [Image: smile.gif]

Pressing Ctrl-K will only work if you are in timeshift mode.

Do you have an MPG Mux filter on your machine? This is required for timeshift mode or recordings.
