Installing Gb ona friend's HP Media Center and keep getting this message when we try to run the PVRX2. but no problems with GBPVR

So what am I doing wrong. any help you can offer would be greatly appreciate.

Are you trying to do it over remote desktop? VMR9 isnt available in this situation (unless the server is Vista).

If you're doing it locally, what videocard does the machine have?

doing this locally on windows Medcia center Edition
Video Card is a Gforce 7300 LE

The PVR card is different then my 150
this one says WinTv PVR 150
NTSC/NTSC-J
26552LF

it differs frm mine in that it's got an FM antannia as well as RCA audios out.. I don't recall seeing this configureation before on a 150.. but I may have just not noticed

According to Microsofts recommended test (creating an instance of the VMR9 object), this machine doesnt support VMR9. This card is capable though. You could try installing the directx9 runtime, or maybe updating the videocard drivers. Hopefully own of these two will correct it.

upgraded the DX and the video drivers. and still same problem. (I think included logs just to be sure.)

any other suggestions on a way to get this up and running?

I dont know. I would have thought that videocard would be fine. Its nothing to do with the PVR150 card.
