OK folks, lets pick a logo. You'll have to use your imagination for slight variations on different colour backgrounds etc.

There was some very high quality option, and few ah...others.

Thanks to everyone that supplied logos, or provided feedback. Below are my favourites.

Pick the one you'd like to see, and leave a comment if you want to sway future voters.

I chose #1, but they are all nice. I personally would steer away from the ones with GB in a circle. It instantly made me think of G.E. (General Electric)
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

I think #1 looks powerful, but I do not like the shape of the letter "g".
#3 is very cool as an icon or button. but on a website it is too buttonlike.
the "power G" (#4) is great, but because it is so simple, I cannot believe that it is unique... It must already exist for some company.
I chose #6. It´s shape is good for a button, systray AND a website...
plain, simple and smart.

@all artists: good work!

I'm really divided between 2 and 4 as both are very distinctive and I can see how either could be used to distinguish GB-PVR from the competitors with a single glance. Hard choice!

Personally, I think if the GB-PVR was placed underneath the big green G it would look better (and it wouldn't read as GGB-PVR).

Hmm, I think I'll go for 4.

Personally I am surprised more people have not picked #3. It has a nice, clean look that is still fairly distinguished (especially the lower half). It will look good on a button and as a logo.

I really like #4 - it lends itself to a great sub-line

"Power for your TV" or something like that

Going out on a limb and taking 5 for the simplicity...execpt it needs colors from 4 or 6.

I vote for #5 but maybe with different colors.
Nice work on all the logos though.

I'm torn between 3 and 6. 4 would be cool if it was in keeping with the "blue" theme and not green (reminds me too much of a gateway logo, ugh). The rest, sorry just not impressed.

I, too, like number "5", with colors [Image: smile.gif]

Number "2" is also great, especially with the shading, but I don't know how well it would scale...

I like number "4" also, but the logo itself just doesn't say, "GB-PVR". Because it can be almost completely green or red, though, it would make a great Recording Service icon....

Number "6" looks extemely professional, but the "GB" is extremely wirey so that it appears somewhat odd, and it would never scale to a smaller size very well....

Personally, I'd like to see number "2" or "5" with the red/blue shading effects that I posted in the other thread(it looks kinda like a sun setting), and then some shading added like number "2" and "6".....

IMHO [Image: smile.gif]

<edit> Actually, maybe there could be a mixture, where one logo is good for a large screen size, and another one is good for an icon or small logo....
