cool...glad we got it sorted..needed to revisit it anyways, been a while...

with HD stuff taking so much space, something was needed for space management..

since this only deals with the filenames, even odd characters shouldn't be able to trip it up...Smile [so other languages should be ok too]

and in new folder i have
xxxxxxx.dvrms

it's not me! Smile as you can see from batch file. only mention of mpg is for deletion and help, it never messes with the extension...
and 'original' is nowhere to be found in there either..

that looks like it may have been set to transcode automatically...
and it looks like my util still worked, new location .dvrms file found, not .mpg..something else did that...but looks like mine copied the correct one...Smile

plus .mpeg is wierd..usually .mpg on winblows...

if its not in the database should it still be able to be moved ?

when i select move dvr-m
it seems to be doing the same thing as if im picking convert to divx (creating temp-mpeg file)

nope...if not found in database, it exits...[assumes something is wrong]

what are your settings in config / processing? they may be the culprit...

I am having some trouble with this so please let me confirm a few things:

What I see is an option in transcode with the profile I set up. When I select this my XX.DVR-MS file is transcoded into a XX-temp.MPG but not moved.

I have checked the profile pretty thoroughly, and think it is correct.

So now the questions:
- logs are placed in the gbpvr directory, not third party or logs or anywhere else? (I can't find them)
- I am recording in DVR-MS format so it actually seems to want to do a real transcode to MPG can this be avoided i.e. keep the DVR-MS format?
- If you record in .mpg does a trancode still occur?

Many thanks.

hmm, what is the extension at the end of profile? maybe gbpvr sees .mpg and thinks it's a transcode profile automatically...
seems to only happen on dvr-ms files tho...mpg just copies and adjusts..
show me the profile line and i'll see if i see anything...
maybe just need to change the extension bit...
do you have anything checked in config/processing?
[bottom part]
logs should be in gbpvr\third party\ next to reloc.bat

I will look again for logs tonight - but last time I couldn't find any. Its almost like GBPVR is doing a real transcode and you batch file isn't getting a turn at all.
