Using the 'warped resize' option in Resize so that my 4:3 aspect ratio programming looks as nice as it can on my plasma. Wouldn't give it up for anything! Hardware deinterlacing works great too (just check the box to pass the interlace flags to the renderer)
Re ffdshow, I do use it, but have never put a check against deinterlacing in the video decoder conrfiguration page. I assumed this meant deinterlacing was being left to the GPU or renderer.
However after reading your post I looked at the options under deinterlacing and, indeed, one of the options is 'Bypass'.
So the question is, what difference is there between using bypass, or just not using deinterlacing at all in ffdshow?
