geek = obsessed with something (can be any kind of geek, well according to cali lewis)
nerd = likes something to do with math/science (which covers tech)
dork = someone you cant help but to laugh at

and if you're reading this thread, chances are you are all three Tongue

I feel a little ashamed of the role I played in directing this thread down a disturbing path, vis a vie the whole computer boobies thing............. mmm computer boobies.............sorry!

But I very impressed at how you Geeks have dragged it back on track. Big Grin

For the record my take on the whole Geek vs Nerd debate:

A Geek is someone who takes an above normal interest in anything and likes to learn about it.
A Nerd is similar to a Geek (may favor Maths and Science) but without the social skills.

So if you've got a wife you're probably a Geek.

Take my current and well documented obsession with computer boobies, it's okay because I've got a wif............wait I don't have a wife.......so that must mean I'm a Ner............

Never mind what I just said they're both compliments and both cool.

Surely that should be plural. As in nice mouse pads.

Ah nuts I've done it again..... off we go down that disturbing path again, somebody steer us right again I'm no use. Big Grin

The word geek dates back to the 1800's.
It was the term for a person in a circus sideshow that ate disgusting things.
Usually they bit the heads off chickens.

So that makes Ozzy the king of geeks. Smile

I know that I'm a geek because I totally geeked out when I saw the trailer for the new Star Trek movie (coming 2009!).

I'd never get work done, not to mention that I would be divorced.
