I have a Tv Card a Hauppage Hvr-900.

And if i understand it right the analog part of this card is not supported in GB-PVR because of a mpeg 2 codec problem.

I was wondering, if i wanna buy another tv card (by usb for me) which one is good and well suported inside GB-PVR?

Or maybe there is a solution so the HVR-900 works?

This are a few card that are for sale over here:
-Pinnacle PCTV Analog Pro 150e (USB)
-AVerMedia AVerTV Hybrid VolarHX USB (USB)
-Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1700 (PCI Express)
-Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Tuner Kit for Windows Vista (USB)

Thanx in advance, Koos

There is experimental software encoder support for the Hauppauge cards: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36082

Yes. See post 7 in the thread for the entry that you need to add to the direct.ini file located in the GBPVR program folder. The dll in the thread replaces the NativeUtilities.dll that is in the GBPVR program folder.

I'm guessing you don't have a capable audio decoder on your machine:
Code:
2008-06-26 23:06:33.005    INFO    pFG2->RenderEx(pOutputPin, AM_RENDEREX_RENDERTOEXISTINGRENDERERS, NULL) failed: -2147467261 (trying normal render() next)
2008-06-26 23:06:33.005    INFO    pGB->Render(pOutputPin) also failed: -2147467261
2008-06-26 23:06:33.005    VERBOSE    Unable to locate audio filter
sub would probably be better suited to answer your questions on this. I'm sure he'll see this thread and respond when he is able to do so. He is pretty swamped at the moment though.

But i guess i have a good audio decoder installed, but maybe Sub knows better what to do.

Thanx for all Smile

Yeah, I would think the ffdshow decoder would be sufficient, but that's just my understanding of the logs. I have no doubt sub will have more insight.
