get your recordings going first
is there audio if you play it back in vlc player or even media player ?
then live tv
does your temporary folder actually exist
also try ticking encoder passthrough
then comskip although this should just work as long you put the files in your gbpvr folder
personally you are best to have it run after but thats up to you
ok changed audio to default settings audio is now fine with recording. i have a c:/temp folder yes. still cannot watch live tv. and comskip is not working . i have comskip application file and comskip, comskip_aus, comslip_aus ini files in mu gbpvr folder. comskip didnt work during recording. the only reason i wanted comskip to work during recording so as to fast track the encoding when the recording has finnished. it records in dvr-ms format but i want it in ipod format
what is cyberlink and ati mpeg mux ? i use vista. is this why the dvr-ms files didnt convert to ipod format at the end of recording. do i need them for this to work . how do i get them and install them if this is the case
i dont really do the transcoding thing but (transcoding takes ages )
comskip only takes 5minutes after the file finishes
plus dvr-ms and comskip while its going may have issues, not 100% sure
i do use dvr-ms but like i said i run it after
comskip does not cut the commercials out it just marks them with a black bar in the playback timeline
you would need something like comcut i think its called have a look on the wiki
plus when using dvr-ms it gets converted to mpeg first then to your ipod file or what ever it is you are trying to do
ok here is what im trying to do
1. record a program - its seems to record in dvr-ms format
2. cut out commerials - it didnt do so during recording . maybe i will set it so it does it afterwards
3. convert that file to ipod compatible so i can transfer it to my ipod touch
ok have got the live tv part sorted out
bit disappointed i cant do a recording from live tv
seems can only do it from the tv guide. my question is what if a particular channel shows no guide. how do i set up a recording for in the future
COMCUT removes the comercials read the wiki link at top
comskip only marks them
1.you can record in mpeg if you use cyberlink mux(you will need to do a search and find how to load )im been lazy
2.COMCUT removes the comercials read the wiki link at top
comskip only marks them
3.should be Able to do this if you select it in the transcode option
altghough since you want to remove the adds completely you may need to run a batch file
you can record from live tv once watching press ctrl+k or record button on remote
go to recordings folder and select manual recording
or just slect the 2 hour block in the tv guide even though you dont have any data it may not show up in the guide as red but if you go to pending you will see it set
