you need to log in as adminstrator (not user user with admin rights)
then put the mux file in the system32 folder
then use regsvr32 with the exact name of the ax file you are trying to register
im pretty sure gspot will only see the file once registered but you can use it to un register files once they are registered

I think the idea was that gspot should show you that you already have a mux file of the same name somewhere in your system and already registered.
I think a better application to learn about and manipulate codecs would be Radlight Filter Manager.

rob11252 is correct, I just wanted to get you looking at the list to see if you have any other Cyberlink muxes registered. Sorry to everyone, I shouldn't have replied when I was rushing with other things and

It sure sounds like your problems with the mux and with GB-PVR relate to your misunderstanding of Vista's UAC and the proper way to make system level changes. You never really answered that part of sub's message on your capture card.

When you did this http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=63
the mux files probably weren't there because you had probably unknowingly unzipped them to

"C:\Users\your name here\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz"

by not doing this as administrator. Even editing your BDA.INI might have needed admin rights. I would delete

"C:\Users\your name here\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz"

and start again from the admin command prompt.

I don't think this will run as administrator either unless you know something I don't.

I think task manager requires running as administrator, doesn't it (UAC prompt)? I disabled UAC so long ago that I can't remember.
