The author replied to me offline.

1) If your cache is being deleted go to your preferences at zap2it.com and see if you have any channels that have no number and/or no program information. I had a numberless APTN channel in the 58th position and there was a 58 APTNE channel available. Removing APTN and adding 58 APTNE fixed the cache being deleted problem.

2) For accents to work you now need the -U option on zap2xml

3) The CR LF TAB stuff should apparently already be fixed in the 2008-06-26 version of zap2xml

Those guys at Zap2it must be on vacation. The site only has 10 days of listings ('till 07/16). It has been like this for the last 3-4 days.

Of course, this means only 10 days of listing for Zap2xml.

Of course, this means only 10 days of listing for Zap2xml.
My Guide also became catatonic.

I noticed in the i-xmltv error log that I was getting the dreaded Error 62 (Input past end of file) This has happened occasionally in the past when for whatever reason there's a mismatch in file sizes (probably corrupted data when the data feed hiccups). I killed all the old i-xmltv generated .xml files (follow the trail in your UpdateEPG.bat file) and regenerated everything from scratch.

All is back to normal now -- all 14 days of tvguide! So the latest versions of i-xmltv.exe and zap2xml are playing nicely together and the data feed at tvlistings.zap2xml.com is back to normal as well!

I am having a problem with the listings being loaded from the xml file.
Only one of the channels show any progamming when I look in the gbpvr TVGuide. When I look in the xml file all the info is there and the same info as usual but it is not getting loaded.
Anyone know how to fix this?

It looks like zap2it is broke again. I am not getting anything in the xmltv file but the cache seems to rebuild. Anybody else having trouble?

I've been testing new epg grabbers (new to me at least) and can't get zap2xml to work.

I've mailed the author the following, assuming it is a problem parsing the format of the zap2it.com listings, but is anyone else having the same problem?

email:

"I'm using the zap2xml.exe version from 20080626.

The cache is being populated, the files inside the gz archives look OK, but
the resulting xmltv.xml is 5 lines long and just has the HTML header and
then the tv tags.

I am only using the -u, -p, -d and -n options, all from the command line."

end of e-mail

Any thoughts from other zap2xml users?
