After hesitating more than a year I have finally replaced the system disk and made a clean install of XPP+GBPVR. Based on all the problem reports here I feared the worst. And it happened! Not GBPVR but my original genuine plain XPP CD refused to install on my Asus board. I have tried four different SP2 slipstream recipes to no avail. So I 'borrowed' something.
Once I had XPP in place and all the updates installed GBPVR worked almost 'right out of the box'
.
I hope you will allow me one more day of enjoyment of an unspoiled install, before taking up testing ML3
(which I do of course with pleasure)
