Hi,

I have a new Happauge 150MCE, XP pro system.

Installed GB-PVR -- version 09105.

See all channels properly in the tuning wizard.

Set-up Zap2It, EPG updated fine. Channel listings show up fine.

Configured the capture source properly as 150MCE.

When I run GB PVR, I get "Starting timeshift mode TV. Please wait" message and the screen stalls there.

The recording service runs fine. Whne I stop the service, I get the 'Failed to cmmunicate with recording service' message, so I guess the service runs Ok.

I am attaching my log files.

Please help...

TIA,
Jags.

One reason could be the card is recording, or otherwise occupied. I don't if that is hard ot detect or not, but it not, it might be good to have a specific msg there (if only to cut down on the ppl who think something else is wrong).

I did a reinstall the other day and had problems like this at first, too. If you can't see tv in WinTV2k, then your problem is the card, and how it's setup/installed.

Same thing happened to me. Randomly changing all the the audio/video encoder/decoder settings and the VMR9/7/Overlay (whatever that is) finally got it working. Wish these things were documented.

Hi,

Still couldnot solve the issue, Tried installing happauge PVR 150 drivers (for 150 MCE)...

Will 150 MCE work in an XP system? I guess, from h/w details both 150 and 150 MCE are the same...

WinTV works fine, Also eval version og Sage TV works fine.

DVDs work fine in GB PVR, but not Live TV.

I tried a fresh install of
1 - XP
2 - .NET
3 - DirecX
4 - GB PVR
in a fresh drive I get Live TV working fine.

But I would like to have it working in my primary configuration where I host a galeery and many other softwares.... This set-up is being used for the last 3 years with all Windows updates, fixes, .... etc.

Any ideas to find out the root of the issue (explained in my previous mails)?

TIA

No, unfortunately I dont know. Your system seems to be having problems reading the GB-PVR data from the MS Access database.
