I am!

So I just got my PCH yesterday and I was about to go through the steps to make livetv work.

I didn't get far at all.

2. Unzip and save all these files in your mvpmc share

Where is my mvpmc share?

I have the latest gbpvr installed with my tuners working on a client computer.

I did some -pch command and that made the gbpvr interface go away. now i have waiting for pch connection or something similar. I think that was from old instruction and now I want to start over and get this done.

Thanks.

If you're looking here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33790 then a few lines above is the paragraph

Quote:Follow these steps noting that these steps use the mvpmc share as a base. You can use any share in place of the mvpmc share should you wish and you can also customize these to use a USB drive or internal drive if you have the expertise. If you are unsure of what directory to use use share a folder called C:\mvpmc.

The mvpmc share is a windows shared directory anywhere on your machine (although for simplicity it ought to be called mvpmc) This is where the PCH/NMT will look for the scripts. It is not already there and needs creating. For simplicity mine is wide open for any "user" to access.

Awesome.

Should the lack of the gbpvr interface concern me?

After putting the -pch all i get is the black screen. Is everything fine?

I'm not sure where this -pch bit comes from. May have to wait for the real expert to pop his head up.

I believe this is from the first implementation of mvpmcx2. Colby.westerfied will just have to follow the thread you placed in your previous message, and forget the -pch thing. So start from scratch with the right information.

Good info.

I uninstalled gbpvr and then reinstalled it and it still does this.

It also kept my config as my tuners and channels were still there.

Is the a flag in the config that i can turn off or a better way to completely uninstall gbpvr?

If I've read correctly I believe your GBPVR setup is working on your PC, right? So from that point, you will have to follow the guide in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33790, that's split up into sections A to H. Go from one step to another, and if you're stuck with a step, post your problem in this thread, explaining the step you're at. You shouldn't go to the next step if you haven't worked out the previous step.

Well i'm not sure.
Before i did the -pch thing. If I clicked on PVRX2.exe it came up to the UI. Now I get this strange black screen that says waiting on PCH connection.

Reinstalling gbpvr didn't get rid of it and I can't use the computer to do anything.

Should I post another comment on this problem before trying to get the pch connecion working?

Sorry, I have no idea. But obviously GBPVR isn't working on your PC, so I doubt it you will get the PCH client going. Maybe you should post your problem on the Support forum together with you logs, so sub can take a look at it.

You dont need to do that "-pch" thing. That was from the old HTML based client, predating mvpmcx2.

In the config app have you set it to autostart at least one MVP server?
