Sorry, I dont really know. Its always been a bit hit or miss.

Spending more time getting the Dish/BEV EPG working well is on my to-do list for a future release.

I've been using yapi2xml to get my guide data, so I haven't played with the built-in DVB epg option.
Does it still scan every transponder which contain channels? If so, is there a plan to have the scanner point to an individual transponder to grab the EPG (I think that's how MediaPortal has it set up).
I think this is due to the way Dish/Bev have their extended EPG data on only one or two particular transponders, while other European and international standards have it per channel. Did I say that right? Big Grin

Edit: Darnit, should have read the thread more carefully. I see this is answered in previous posts.

Yes, because this is what was required for the rest of the DVB worlds. There is currently no special logic that does it differently for Dish/BEV.

Yes, thats the plan.

You have to have the transponder with the epg enabled in order to get the epg data. I think that it is 12224 if my memory is correct. I currently get epg data from bev91 and 82.

(82 is a different transponder. 12341)

Whats the exact satellite name(s) you BEV/Dish users select in the GB-PVR config when setting up your card, and what frequencies carry the EPG info on those systems? If I can get definitive list, then I'll add the logic for the next release to ensure it doesnt bother to do the standard EPG scan across all the other frequencies.

Hi Sub,
DN is on two sats. From Config choose: Echostar7,DirecTV7s&AnikF3 for "119" and DirecTV5,Echostar8,10 for "110" The EPG for both is on 119 on transponder 12486R (TP19)

Thanks. Just to confirm the transponder - that was '12486,V,20000,34'?

I don't actually have the card set up at the moment and got that off of lyngsat. I checked and know that the 12486,V,20000 is correct but I don't know what the 34 is. I expect you are correct where ever you got it. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

Hi sub,

I choose Nimiq1 for "91" 12224 (after reading back through this thread) and Nimiq2 "82" 12341 this is for BEV. Now lynsat says that the EPG is on 12370, I am not sure because I have channels enabled on both of those TP.
