MVP turns itself off

During the initial screen (Scanning Servers), my D1 MVP will turn itself off after a few seconds. It usually takes 4 or 5 tries for it to get going. After that, it stays on.

Any ideas?

XP sp1
Dlink switch, static DHCP
MVP sw v. 2.4 release 23038

When it has trouble staying on, I can get it to stay on if I disconnect the network cable. Then when I reconnect the cable, it connects normally. No one else has seen this?
