That sounds promising I'll give it a try again. Does the ML2 install include the NMT playlist patch?

I definitely prefer how the ML2 colours on screen match the Hauppauge, NMT, and many MCE remotes

For the record: I still don't get this to function. Problem is with ML2. I do see both now in the configurator, but MVP only shows ML3. If I do install ML2 only, it does not show up on MVP. Via VNC I can see both on the GBPVR console, but only ML3 is functional.
I stop fiddling with both configs side by side, and concentrate on testing ML3 per se. For me it is not a big problem to manually switch configurations of ML2 and ML3.

My observations on version 8.03 are updated for version 8.04 here

I've got both ML2 and ML3 working as I think they should from the NMT. To install I removed the MusicLibrary section from config.xml and the old MusicLibrary2 folder from Plugins. I've done all me setups from ML3 and ML2 seems to like them.

One think in ML2 that I don't think I ever saw before is the second counter working under album art. I have it disable in ML3.

The following comments are when I'm using new version of ML2 included in beta [as ML3 only runs a minute or so ]

1) the noindex.txt option doesn't seem to be working tracks in folders below a folder containing noindex.txt are being randomly selected when a random playlist is generated

2) if you highlight a track in playlist and use ctrl+K to enter remove track from current playlist it actually starts playing it, and screen is not updated

3) with the option for a new playlist to be generated when the current one finishes set on, then when the 2nd last track of the current playlist finishes the last track is actually skipped and a brand new playlist generated, in the previous version the last track played and the new random tracks were appended to the current playlist

If 'very quickly' means less than a second, I can confirm that I had the same problem with both ML2 and ML3 installed. Removing ML2 cured that problem.

No it doesn't seem to be that I have disabled ML2 in config and ML3 still acts the same

it counts up in bottom right of screen and gets to 1/390 and pvrx2 then crashes the logs always point to the same mp3 whci I presume has some sort of problem with its album art

I have just tried the ML2 code on my MVP random tracks are selected and appear to play but no audio actually comes out of the speakers

I have tested that sound does work ok for tv recordings

Back to the previous version for the moment

First try of ML3 and it is working accept that it does not recognise FLAC files. I have added FLAC to the known types <EXT>.MP3~.WMA~.OGG~.FLAC~.M4A</EXT> in config.xml however everytime I save the config ML3 ignores it and won't see the files ML2 works OK.

That text box isn't actually a way of adding types, just a display. To add your .flac you'll have to edit the config.xml file and find the <MusicLibrary> plugin setting and in there with be a list of formats.
