glassvial Wrote:Yep same problem here with the 350, also still having a problem with the dual tuners and pending season recordings. After the 3AM update, items that I cancelled in the pending list (repeats, for example) come back. I have to go in and re-cancel them every day, this is getting very annoying. If you want to cancel them permanently, you're going to have to go into the Reoccuring section of the Recordings menu and delete them there.

Again, when I had 1 tuner this was never a problem, I can keep my season records and cancel the reruns in the pending list and they don't come back. Now, with dual tuners the cancelled pending recordings come back. So here's an example: Dual tuner setup: I have CSI on season record. A rerun comes up, it's on the pending list, I cancel it. The 3AM EPG update happens, and the episode I just cancelled comes back to the pending list. Single tuner setup: I have CSI on season record. A rerun comes up, it's on the pending list, I cancel it. The 3AM EPG update happens, and the episode I just cancelled STAYS CANCELLED and does NOT come back to the pending list. Does that make sense now?

You had other problems with the season recordings not auto updating after EPG update etc, so probably didnt notice. Every night after the EPG update, GB-PVR searches the future listings (ahead of today) and will schedule a recording for any show that matches the title of your season recordings. This is not just in new listings, but any listing in the future.

Ok well I guess it worked before due to earlier versions being broken (as in not updating the EPG properly, probably tied to the conflict bug which has since been fixed, I think), so, is it possible to fix this new problem (having pending recordings that get cancelled stay cancelled)?

Quote:so, is it possible to fix this new problemAs I said, its not a problem. This is just the way it works. That said, when I get around to (near future) implementing some recording smarts to not record reruns, that may alleviate any grieve this is causing you.

You're right, it's not a problem, it's _annoyance_. So when you add some recording smarts, be sure to add "do not record things that someone takes off the pending record list, even if it's on season record"

Sub,
An update for you using Twinhan BDA 1.2.1.6, GBPVR v0.91.8 & Cyberlink mux. Over the last day, set 2 PC's recording 2 sessions of 9 recordings. Out of the 36 recordings, only one recording failed with a zero sized file. The worrying thing is I'm not exactly sure what's making it work better. I'll continue soak testing & start recording some programes I want to watch. ![]()

glassvial. What you can do in the mean time is use rectracker. Just open the show to be cancelled and select seen it! When the epg updates if you have rectracker -purge in the batch it will remove it for you.

There you go glassvial, you have a solution. No need for me to implement it.
