nah i dont have caller id, i just like the idea of it, i remember he was having UI issues and sub had to create a new interface for him. i would love for it to be extended to work with VoIP is all, then i could use it.

anyone interested in creating a msn plugin, VoIP and video over IP probably could be done via that, keyboard chat is kinda silly for a pvr, but Video/Voice over ip would be nice (i just watched pluto nash, and when the phone rang (video) tv was paused and video phone started, which is pretty cool, and would be nice and possible thru gbpvr).

That would be a great plugin. I wonder if you would be able to use a wireless camera that talks to your pc next to your mvp. That would be really neat.

Would be intresting to see what kind of hooks microsoft has for it.

The caller id plugin would be cool. And I might play with it at some point if nobody else does. The biggest thing is I do most of my development on machines without a phone line attached (work and they dont have caller id).
and I dont have any machines with a modem anymore. I would need to dig one out. Your ideas with the picture would be cool.

only thing with the video over ip is that im not sure if it would work with a mvp, xcard or 350. unless you grabbed a image from the video feed and displayed that inside gbpvr, msn, yahoo etc would probably be the best way to go, clear list of contacts, a lot of people have it, and im pretty sure msn and yahoo both can be made to work inside c#.

What about if someone took the source for mythphone. And ported it to gbpvr? It is already ported to windows.
