If I enable "SaveZap2itXML" in config.xml, epg update no longer works. Here are the entries in pvrx2.exe.log

I dont think you're allowed to write to this directory on Vista. The is a log file though, and not needed for normal processing, so you can leave it set to false.

A process cannot write to the root of the drive, winows, program files, and a couple of other places without elevated permissions in vista.
In some cases even with UAC turned off you cannot do this without an admin log on.
