A few months ago I was working on a program to edit the xmltv files from mc2xml. It's called XmltvChannelFilter. It's not finished, but it should work for you. Check the attachment. I won't be doing any work on it in the near future, but I hope it helps you out for now.

If you run it with as "xmltvchannelfilter -sample" it will create a sample_config based on all the channels in your source file. That helps with setting up your config.

Leave "<rungrabber>false</rungrabber>" as I believe this "true" won't work.

I have problems with getting the channel logos right for two Belgian channels:
Eén
Ketnet/Canvas
The accented character and the slash are part of the channel name, but they are not allowed in the name of the icon file.
Do you have a solution for those?

I had the same problem with ketnet/canvas, but found that gbvr happily used "ketnetcanvas.jpg" as an icon file. I can't reach my server new, but I guess Eén.jpg should be picked up as an icon file (on WXP you can use é in a file name)

Chris, why so difficult? If you put a file called mc2xml.chl in the same directory as mc2xml.exe it will do the selection for you. In my mc2xml.chl file I put things like:

Ned 1
Ned 2
Ned 3
RTL 4
Net 5
SBS 6
RTL7
Veronica/Jetix
RTL 5
RTL 8
Eén
Ketnet/Canvas
etc.

Works perfectly. Note that MC2XML does not contain the information for Film1, TCM, MGM or Hallmark, but I am rewriting script files for PVxb to fix that. All will be on my site http://www.prize.nl/software/pvr when it works, tomorrow I hope.

Thanks! Works like a charm. Also the é in the filename. Can't reproduce why XP did not accept it in my first tries.

I now put instructions online how to combine the MC2XML schedules with a rip of the full Film1 tv guide (whole week, including Film1 Action channel). The page is a bit under construction, and I need to put more structure in it, but so far so good.

More will follow, like new TVGids rip scripts and information on how to add TCM, MGM and Hallmark channel info to the MC2XML files. And a new set of channel icons.
