Is there someone basd in the US that can do me a favor? Preferrably one of the regular posters. I'd like to get a Sony PSP, buy unfortunately they wont be released here in New Zealand for quite a while. Specifically, I'm interested in picking up one of the bundles which are on sale at EB Games, which include a fairly mixed set of four games (not so keen on the NBA game but you get that with bundles) - http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/520687.asp

I'm happy to PayPal you the funds in advance, if you could buy one and ship it to me in New Zealand). I'm also happy for a bit of variance on price (sales tax etc USPS shipping to New Zealand + insurance etc).

I have a regular guy that has helped out with previous purchases from the US, but since it was only a couple of weeks since he last helped out, I thought I'd try to spread it around...

PM me if you can help out.

Cheers sash. The PSP itself seems a couple of bucks cheaper through future shop, but quite a bit more expensive when I add in four games like I was looking at with the EB Games bundle.

I appreciate the offer, and may still take you up on it, but will wait a little longer to see if a US offer eventuates...

If anyone is wonder, yes - I'll change GB-PVR to auto transcode recordings for playback on the PSP.

Are you hard-set on that specific bundle, or are you more interested in the unit itself?

Reason I ask is because I saw in our local paper that the PSP launch in my town was pretty much a non-event, they had flyers ready for one-per-customer mad rush, which never happened. So in theory I should have stock in my town, at least for the unit itself, can't speak to this specific bundle though.

Yeah, I heard few mixed comments. Some saying they sold out, some saying they have heaps.

I'm not too fussed about that particular combination but I do need to get some games. Its no good to me without any games. To make it interesting for the wife, she wants two specific games ('Ape escape' and 'Lumines'). Other than that, I wouldn't mind racer (ridge racer or need for speed) and maybe one other.

Do you know if any of your local stores have websites?

And, the PSP can already be used to schedule recordings in gb-pvr (well, it should, if you have wipeout pure and you can trick it to see the web interface... http://www.fumanchuu.com/pspdev/ ).. now, if only you could stream mpeg2 video to it over wifi Wink
