display a popup box anywhere, anytime

sub is it possible (i think you added this for codemonkey) to display a popup box anywhere in gbpvr at anytime? (eg when watch tv, or just browsing the menu). i want to start playing around with something and was hoping this was possible, if so can you give me the basic code to do this? if not any plans to support this?

ps if its possible does the popup message get control of the keydown events?

Over video is a problem, which is what codemonkey wanted. This problem still exists, and I unfortunately dont see me fixing it any time soon. Sorry.
