I have a feeling that issue will probably be resolved once sub gets one of the DVB-T versions. Wink

added ability to record multiple channels from the same multiplex with same digital card. This is only possible when you're using the 'TS Mux' option.

Does this work for all digital cards? Mine is an HVR1600 at the moment, I was considering purchasing an HDHomeRun.

Everything but DVB-C I think. I know it works on both the HDHR and the 1600.

It'll work for all digital cards (including DVB-C). There is some complications around the use of encrypted DVB channels (which is were some discussion about DVB-C previously came up)

Just installed the latest version, works great. I even had a go at using my sat card with mdapi/cardreader/plugins. (I've been using my 150) Worked great. Managed 3 recording at once. However I get glitching /stuttering in live TV, but that a matter for the support forum. The recording work fine. Just need the DVB subtitles working now.......

Really a great release, like the slic, just have to add some more pictures that work with the menu text.

Good job!!!!!

How does one know what channels are on the same multiplex? In the US, is that like channels 7.1, 7.2, 7.3?

Thanks

Yeah, that's pretty much it. If you're using ATSC the new feature won't be much use, since in most cases the sub channels on the same frequency are either an SD repeat of the HD channel, or junk like a weather channel or 24-hour informercials. On QAM, you'll get more on the same mux. In theory, the assigned virtual channel number doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do with the frequency, but in practice, at least on ATSC, the subs of the same master channel are on the same freq. and that's it.

I think if you go into your channel mapping in the capture device setup, you can see the tuning request for each channel which will reveal which ones share a common frequency.

Pretty cool. A sub-channel from my ABC affiliate is Retro TV and has A-team, Knight Rider, Battlestar Galactica, Magnum P.I., etc, reruns every day. And PBS has different feeds on every sub-channel.

"- you can now select multiple channels and hit the 'remove' button when viewing the capture source channel list instead of having to remove channels one at a time."

Hurray!
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Not to mention enable/disable all channels. This make testing sooooo much easier.

lets not all forget to donate!

You prevent Fatal Error during install of GB-PVR (1.3.7) when you first shutdown Spy Sweeper ;-)
