It seems mc2xml only shows 2 days (sometimes less) of Ned 1, Ned 2 and Ned 3.

Some users pointed out they combine information grabbed with my grabber "WebGrab" with mc2xml to get these channels complete.

WebGrab can be found here:

http://www.servercare.nl/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=38

It is designed to replace whatever you were using before the tvgids.nl change as effortlessly as possible.

Latest version 1.7.5 is still in beta, but seems quite stable. Final version will be online soon.

Ladies and gentlemen, with great pleasure I present on my site http://www.prize.nl/software/pvr/dutch.html the new TVGids.nl scripts voor de TVxb grabber.

Later this week I will re-structure the website, and organise things better. I hope you can find everything you need.

The advantage of this method is that you can modify all channel names. And even use different name-sets, since GB-PVR can be programmed to use the first, second, third, etc. name in the XML file for each channel.

Still I think you better use MC2XML for the bulk of the data, get all Film1 information from the Film1.nl TV guide, and add the remaining bits with TVxb/TVGids.nl.

It should be well enough explained on the site and in the scripts, or send me an e-mail.

Looks ok, I might ry it out later. I'm quite happy with mc2xml except for the fact that it downloads only a few days for Ned 1,2,3.

You could use my method to download 5 days for the Dutch public channels from TVGids, and the rest with MC2XML...

Today I posted on http://www.prize.nl/software/pvr/dutch.html how to download the bulk from MC2XML, the Film1 channels from the Film1.nl website, more channels (MGM, Hallmark, 13th Street, Sci-Fi, TV Rijnmond) from the TV guide on UPCLive.nl, and the Dutch public channels from TVGids.nl. Best of everything?

Sure looks interesting. If I'm going to test (maybe during the weekend), I'll let you know.

Today I found out that MC2XML downloaded 5 days for NED1,2,3. It didn't do that yesterday. I hope it continues to do so.

Sheik Yerbouti Wrote:NLGrabXMLTV is a free command line program that downloads TV listings for the Netherlands and saves the data in the xmltv format, after correcting errors and removing information that has no function in GBPVR. The original source of the TV listings is http://www.tvgids.nl, but the data is downloaded from http://xmltv.assies.info/. This had two advantages:
- The download only takes a few seconds in stead of hours;
- It reduces the downloads from http://www.tvgids.nl (I think there’s no advantage in grabbing the data yourself using tvxb or xmltv).

Hi Sheik,
does NLGRABXMLTV still work? The files on http://xmltv.assies.info are outdated. It seams it stopped on Oktober 3. Is it comming back online ?
As far as i can see NLGRABXMLTV is the only (easy and fast) grabber for dutch television so i hope sincerly you get it back online. Thanks !!!

Assies has been unreliable for quite a while. Many of us switched to MC2XML (http://mc2xml.110mb.com/). Search this forum for MC2XML and you'll find a number of helpfull threads.
