I've been having a long running battle with my personal website host over the availability of my website. Standard html pages are fine but for long periods of up to a day navigating to a PmWiki based page results in the error below:
Quote:FastCGI Error
The FastCGI Handler was unable to process the request.

Error Details:

* The FastCGI pool queue is full
* Error Number: 4 (0x80070004).
* Error Description: The system cannot open the file.

HTTP Error 500 - Server Error.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
I don't know enough about PmWiki, IIS, website hosting to be able to argue with them. Surely running a PmWiki isntallation with a very low number users (myself and family only), would not require a dedicated host. What does "The FastCGI pool queue is full" actually mean and it it script or server that is at fault?

Any help from you web gurus appreciated Smile

The only (probably useless) suggestion from me would be to change your host.
Googling would seem to indicate it is a common problem with the configuration of IIS - over which you have absolutely no control, it is down to them.

Sounds like you're getting lackluster service for your dollar. I recommend finding another host Smile

The OpenWikiNG at SourceForge is a pretty good wiki. ASP based that uses a MDB Access database. You can run it on XP Pro....locally or on your home server with DynDNS.
