I'm running v1.0.23 and getting crashes when trying to view the details for most movie/tvshow options. For example, from the queue view, selecting any of these 4 movies generates a crash: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), Immortal Beloved, The Craft, Moliere. I am able to view the details for (and download) some stuff though. For example, from the Top 50 (weekly) view, I am able to successfully select the details (and download): Heroes: Season 3 and 30 Rock: Season 1, but not The Office: Season 1.

Any ideas on what the cause and/or solution is?

The pvrx2 log file looks like this at the bottom:
Code:

It's probably because I need to update the list. Sorry, I'll have it updated tonight.

Thanks for the quick response! Is there any documentation or a development thread that discusses the purpose of this list the other components of the plugin?

No there isn't. I basically scrape the Netflix website to get a list of all movies available for Watch Instantly and make the info available in an xml file that the plugin then reads. It takes about an hour and a half to do it. I've been working on another method using the new Netflix developer API that will cut this down and automate the list update so that it can be updated nightly but it's not completed yet.

As for other components of the plugin, were there any specific questions you had? There are only two dlls in the plugin: One that handles all funtions that require access to the Netflix website, and one that handles the GB-PVR related tasks. I intend to release the source but I just haven't had time to clean it up. Once I finish the Netflix API calls and fix a couple of bugs, I will be releasing the source with the new build.

I am not sure if I am having this problem now, I went back to the previous version of the plugin, and it worked well for about 1-2days, then now when I try to get program information I get a crash. I can play programs I have downloaded, and get descriptions of some of them, but others cause a crash.

I forgot to update the list. I'll do so as soon as my wife goes to sleep. I'll also run through some tests to make sure nothing has changed on the website.

whurlston, have you tried using Yahoo Pipes? Might be worth a look to help with maintaining the list

You have more faith in Yahoo than I do Wink

Actually Netflix is working on enhancements to the API that will solve the problem.

List updated. Sorry it took so long. I have drastically reduced the amount of time it takes me to create the list and I should have it completely automated in the next few days.

Hi whurlston,

Great Plugin, thanks for all your work.

I also have this problem and still having crashes after your update. I can't tell if my lists have actually been updated. Is their a way to confirm this? Can we force an update to the list?

One other issue - I'm using ver 1.0.2.4 because 1.0.2.5 drives my P4/2.5 CPU to 100%. Thought it was due to my ancient processor, but, I just learned that a friends 8400 Dual Core is doing the same. Any thoughts?
