Hi,

Very excited to see the DVB-T radio plugin, as its the one thing that GBPVR did'nt have, so installed a couple of days ago, but since then I've not managed to get it working.

When I choose the plugin from the main menu I get to the DVB-T screen and a pop up asking if I want to do a scan, which I say start but then it finds no channels.

I've attached the logs, I hope its enough info.

Many thanks for the help, Matt

Hmmm - I've seen something similar before but I don't think I ever found an answer. It's failing at exactly the same point each time but not giving a reason why.

Bear with me - I'll try and upload a new version tonight which will log more detail.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian,

Wow, never seem to get the chance to play with my pc's now, so sorry, a very little delayed, but here are the latest logs from the DVB radio plugin.

You enter it from the main screen, you get asked to do a scan, says it is scanning, but then comes back with nothing.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Matt,

I'll need to look at this a bit further for a permanent fix but you could try a 'hack' in the meantime...

Go to your GB-PVR installation folder and open the bda.ini file with Notepad (you might want to make a backup of it first Wink ).

Find this section...
Quote:[Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path1) "
FILTER_CAPTURE="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Capture (Dev1 Path1) "
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
...on the line that starts FILTER_CAPTURE=, delete the space towards the end of the line that's after (Dev1 Path1) and before the quotation mark, i.e., so the line reads as...
Quote:FILTER_CAPTURE="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Capture (Dev1 Path1)"
Try another scan and if it works, you may want to edit the corresponding line for the [Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 1] section.

A WORD OF WARNING, if you do this and it works, make sure you test both tuners with GB-PVR just in case editing those lines has an adverse effect. I'm fairly sure it won't though.

Cheers,
Brian

Can you post the logs from the attempt where you edited the bda.ini?

Looking at your previous logs, the reason it wasn't working was it couldn't find the capture filter by name. It was finding the actual capture filters but the names didn't have a trailing space so didn't match the bda.in names exactly which is why I suggested editing the bda.ini.
