This is where we can discuss changes, additions, and omissions to the \_CoreImages folder.

None of these changes have been made yet.

I have studied the images further, and am re-doing the list on..

On the wiki I am adding a column to indicate what is an editable image item by the skinplugin (may not be up to date). Suggested sizes may also need to be revised. I also indicate which images are used by blue, to confirm compatibility.

Good work fatman! Agree with all the the changes/additions/omissions so far.

If it's OK I will use the SkinPlugin column to flesh out the SkinPluginConfig.xml file and (if it makes sense and following the guidelines here) the Resources folder also.

I've updated the page with the current state of the SkinPluginConfig.xml file on the latest build (not in SVN yet). Any comments on the items marked with a '?' ?

Would these be part of the Normal Item, Selected Item, Selected Inactive Item grouped EditableSkinItems or on there own?

I think they could be part of the group. They were created mostly for the Sassari theme, and it would be mostly a theme related element than something to bother a user to have to drill through another selection option. A vast majority of the time they would be the same as the list selectors.

I'll comment on the "?" on my lunch break, but I don't know if we want to bother with any of those elements with the plugin or not. Likely candidates would be maybe OSD and the Hotspot images. I don't see the others being a theme related image.

Is the Background.jpg file in \CommunityX\Menu\ the only background image aloud? You can't have a different background image for the main menu and all other screens?

You can if they are defined in the baseskin.xml I believe.

I can't find the post now, but I thought with the latest release you can have a specific background for the main menu. I could be wrong but I remember thinking to myself that it might be useful, when I read it (?)

The inclusion of TextBackground_Small and TextBackgrounds_Large graphics in the TextBackgrounds section of the plugin. These are the graphics asked to scale the most by the formatting of the CS and including those 2 would reduce the scaling need in certain circumstances.

Are we going to add these?
