1.3.11 plugin ctor changed?

I've just installed 1.3.11 and now my plugin doesn't get started (added to the main menu), whereas 5 mins ago it did!

In the gbpvr log I see:-

where DronnyVideos is my plugin. Any idea why this is??

The api hasn't changed as far as I'm aware, or all the other plugins compiled before 1.3.11 would stop working also..

That looks like it's run the constructor for "DronnyVideos" to me, is that not correct?

I know, its weird... maybe its something I've done...

You're right, it *has* run the ctor, because it shows up in my own logfile, but for some reason the task doesn't show up in the config app (in the Plugins list). And hence, doesn't show up in the main menu when I run PVRX2.

I must have inadvertently changed something else, at the same time as installing 1.3.11 so I guess I'd better go back to how things were. That's what you get for coding in the 10 minutes between breakfast and leaving for work, whilst the kids are leaving for school and arguing over who's been using the hair-straighteners the longest :confused:

Fortunately I commited to SVN last thing the night before, so I will revert and try it all again.

Now I'm really baffled!

I reverted to how my code was before installing 1.3.11 and rebuilt, and it still doesn't show up in Config.

What else do I need to do to have a plugin show up in Config? It's been so long since I write it I can't remember the details, but I thought it was enough to implement IMenuTask (which I do by extending BaseButtonUiList).

There are no exceptions in the log, it just doesn't show up in Config now.

If anyone can suggest anything, please do -- I'm stuck!!!

Oh God if ever there was an advert for "think before you post" this is it!!!

I'd moved a line in Initialise() to the ctor inadvertently, and it was causing a NullReferenceException. But stupid me, I was looking in PVRX2.exe.log and not in Config.exe.log. Once I looked in there, I was the NRE and figured out what was going on. Bingo, now its all working happily again.

Once day I'll release the source to DronnyVideos, its a fairly basic VideoLibrary replacement with some features I (and the family) wanted, like hiding file extensions, remembering when you've watched (or are in the middle of watching) something, and a few other bits and bobs.

Programming all day for a living is obvioulsy straining my brain, I need help!
