I am trying to setp the GB-PVR on my computer due to high reviews it get. Currently I am using the microsoft medica center MMC and it works fine. I have installed the GBPVR and also got the EPG data files rightly or atleast thats what i think. Now when i start the PVRX2 file it loads the menu only. but no video or recording page shows up (pic 01). I tried to play the files from the computer, but only audio is played , No video is shown (picture 02 attached) The config settings are shown in picture 3. My tv tuner card is ViXS Pure TV which is selected correctly and is listed in the tv tuner list as well. I have tried almost all the video options in the playback menu, with no success. I do not even get the option to scan the channels. Just the EPG data. What am i doing wrong? any help. I see lots of log files and can upload if you tell me which log files you want to see....

MMC is working fine, so i know that PVR should work too...Do i need to disassociate the MMC from the tuner card and then attach PVR to to the tuner card. If yes, How can i do that?

MME setup was really easy when i started it for th e first time and I am unable to setup PVR despite 1 days effort. I am running WINDOWS VISTA HOme 64 bit with sp1. and my system is HP m9100z with 8GB RAM.

you have no channels enabled so they wont show in the tv guide
you need a video decoder if you have no video i see its a divx or some crap rip of some sort you will need to sort this out outside of gbpvr as it just uses the default one on your machine try xvid decoder

I enabled each of the channel, still having the same screen when starting the PVRX2. No Channel show up in the guide menu.
Lets go one by one.

1. Do I need to disassociate my tv tuner card from MMC before i can use that with PVR? Currently if i start MMC, it works fine, I can watch live tv and record etc. no problem. its just when i start the PVR, no video shows up.

2. when setting up PVR, i got no option to scan the channels. Is it OK? it just starting the PVR and getting the TV to work. I remeber when i setup the MMC, it took me some 10-15 minutes to setup everything (scanning channels etc)

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files and I'll take a look.

What problem did you see exactly? That log doesnt seem to show you doing anything. It looks like you've just started the app, then zipped the logs.

Thanks for the reply. Exactly... I started the application and i get the blank screen as i posted in myfirst post. What exactly am i suposed to do after that. Should i not see any channels in the guide? When i click on live tv...nothing happens... just blank screen.

The logs show you starting the app to the main menu, which is the first screenshot you included. It shows no attempt to play a video, which is what is shown in your second screenshot (black screen with timeline). You probably need to try again to view a video and repost the logs.

Does that .avi you tried to play in the second screenshot play in Windows Media Player?

It depends on if you've setup your capture source etc, and its EPG etc.
