UltraXMLTV Support...

sorry about posting in the wrong thread but i was talking about starting a epg update from the gb-pvr tray icon compared to the automagiclly timed update from the config setting.

every thing works fine running it from cli and the gb-pvr tray icon. just when i come back to the computer a few hours after the update batch file was suppose to run ultraxmltv is still running as a process in task manager

What version are you running? Can you send me a log?

I've noticed the last few days that when I run UltraXMLTV from my UpdateEPG.bat, it never gets killed, and it stays running. This is the latest entry in my logs:

It doesn't look like it's actually processing... any ideas? The interact with desktop is checked. My XML file is ~44MB.

Have you updated GB-PVR lately? When it installs, it always unchecks 'Interact'. Some versions of Ultra kinda mess that up

Uncheck 'Interact' Restart service. Check 'Interact', Restart service.
Try again...

Also you could set up the EPG Update and Ultra check to use Task Manager...

I did just upgrade to 1.3.11, so I stopped the GBPVR Recording Service, unchecked the interact with desktop, applied that. Then re-checked interact with desktop and it seems to be working correctly again.

Does the ultratvxml_renamer output anything like a variable that contains the new file name? I want to make a copy of my newly renamed file to a NAS.

The renamer is the last thing I do in my postprocessing.bat but I wanted to add a line that copies the newly name file. I only know the file name being passed to the renamer -> %1 not what comes out.

Any ideas on how to do that?

I get my xmltv.xml file using mc2xml to grab the listings for Canada (East), Bell TV (Digital). This file has credit info and star ratings in it.

In UltraXMLTV 1.2.152 I have selected both the credits and star ratings to append to the description (and I have selected actors, guests, director, and writer). I'm trying to use UltraXMLTV to get the Season and Episode numbers added (this is working fine). But when I then process the xml file both are removed.

Is this supposed to be working?
Is it working for anyone else?
Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong?

This is exactly the reason why I wrote the renamer. No there is no way of telling your batch file what the resultant filename will be so you can copy it to another location.

Well what can I say? It IS supposed to be working. I wanna tell you, I'm not all that keen to look at the source code now that I've gotten into VB.net and started working on Ultra version 2...

I will be sure that this feature is working when I release the new version soon...
