Ultraxmltv + dvbguide = error 13 type mismatch

I'm wondering if anybody is using 'dvbguide' to get their satellite channel listings, and has successfully combined this with ultraxmltv?

I'm running the latest version (1.2.152) and always get the following:

Run-time error '13': Type mismatch

... when I get to record twenty something thousand. For example record 26610/37708. I would like to diagnose the problem in more detail, but the logs don't seem to show anything. They just end at "Start Processing 37708 records ..." (and then a warning about 'not commited').

In case anyone is wondering, I use dvbguide because I can get listings over satellite instead of the net (I don't have internet access - long story). It also seems quite a bit faster than e.g. xmltv. I use it instead of the built-in DVB EPG, because it has data for seven days or so. I'm pretty new to all this, so if there is a better way of doing this that will solve my problems, please feel free to make a suggestion.

I was also wondering if the source code for ultraxmltv is publicly available? It would help in diagnosing these sorts of problems I think ...

Thanks for your reply. I've uploaded the xml file. It was too big to attach as a zip, so I used b2zip to compress it. If that doesn't work for you, please let me know how you prefer me to upload it.

Thanks for your patience. It looks like this could be the problem - I don't seem to have this file at all in the application directory. It doesn't seem to be included in the zips from the wiki either. Can you explain whether this should be generated or where it is located? Thanks.

The file is created the very first time ( and updated) when you click 'Go'

Have you tried to run Ultra manually? If so, then you would find that file. It's possible that you only added it to your UpdateEPG.bat and that the GB-PVR Recording Service has not been set to 'Interact with Desktop'

Normally, Ultra would inform you of this, so something is going wrong... What OS are you using, What permissions,what directory have you chosen for Ultra?

I think there should at least be a log file in the same directory...

There is a log file, but it doesn't really say anything. I'm running on Vista 64, so this may be the problem ... I will try running with different permissions.

Sorry, to confirm: I am running it manually (not from bat file). And I press the 'Go' button. As I said, when It gets to about 26k, a popup appears.

Thanks. I did have a look at those threads when setting ultraxml up, but they seemed to be related to not being able to run the program at all ... I will have another look to see if my problem is there.

A reg file was created when I ran in admin mode, but the program still crashed. I've attached it just incase there is anything obvious there ...
