Well, here it is, the 'little' project I used to get myself acquainted with VB.net

Anyone interested in trying it out, please read at least some of my new wiki page.

Some points:

• Version 2 isn't finished and some of the features available in version 1 have not been activated/developed yet. But they're coming...
  
  
• Please try it out with 'Zehd's Picks', as explained on the wiki.
  
  
• I'm mostly interested in a user's first look. How did it go, what error right from the start...? Then I want to see how well Zehd's Picks work for you, and how well a Manual Enhancement works..
  
  
• Then I'd like to know how it goes with your nightly EPG update.
  
  
• If this all goes well for you, we can talk about the Seas/Ep Lookup tab - which is really quite intense for a beginner user (I don't want to scare people off)

Just for us few that actually RTFM, in the wiki where you say "Make a Pot of Coffee", I think you meant to have a statement that we should go back to the Main tab and click on GO to get it going.

While Ultra2 was cranking away its first time, I was curious whether there was anything in Program in DB under the Season/EP Lookup tab. I got the following error. I clicked CONTINUE and Ultra2 kept cranking away. I'll leave it to you to decide the importance/implication of this popup.

I got the following popup. I don't think I was doing anything directly that would have affected Ultra2.

I tried to capture the entire text but messed up so it was lost when I went to enter this message.

The message cleared and I don't know whether it considered the input to be a QUIT or CONTINUE but Ultra2 stayed up and the Processing Time in the upper right corner of Main tab continues to increase but the record count at the bottom of that tab is stuck at 6024 of 26884.

One of the joys of .net is the error messages. I just learned that I can find where the problem is if I see the whole message, so next time you see one, click details and copy to clipboard... Thanks

And didn't I say not to mess with Seas/Ep untill you know it's working right in the basic way...

OK. So, next time. Click Stop. Close the program and try again. Tell me how THAT goes...

From the screen shot, I see a problem using the left() function, though I can't tell more...

I did copy it to the clipboard. That is why the message is all highlited in the screen snap. Unfortunately, I lost it before I was ready to paste it into the message I entered in the forum.
