I would have never thought to try that. I have seen my project magincally handle several tasks at the same time, but I can see why this didn't work for you. I'll look at locking that down

Taking a stab in the dark, I've replaced all my left() calls for strings to String.Left() because there is some room for ambiguity. VB6 was much more lenient...

I stopped my copy of Ultra2 from processing and downloaded your new version.

I notice that there is no Revision labelled anywhere visibly on the program. With multiple beta testers and versions hthey might be using, I think you should add Rev/Build info somewhere so we can let you know which version of the program we are testing.

You're right. I really liked the version incremented in VB6. With .net, I have to do it manually, unless I 'Publish', which isn't what I do between builds...

I'm retired but used to work on multi-million dollar computer control systems for electric power and water systems. When we went back to the programmers and described how the program failed and what the operator was doing at the time, they would invariably wonder why someone would do such a thing. The programmer knew what the program was expecting for input from the operator and couldn't understand why the operator would do anything but what they were supposed to.

They had a term for the operators. They were DFO. That stands for Dumb **** Operator. I guess I'm your DFO.

It's all those checks that make the difference between a temperamental program and a robust one.

Just keep pluging all the "holes" we users find.

Until you get to the point of 'Publish', you might just maintain a parameter in your code that would be a Rev Number and display that parameter somewhere on the Main page.

You're going to need to get a fresh xmltv file with your grabber rather than try to enhance an already enhanced file....
