I noticed the following quirk in a program listing. Note the "null" at the end of the description.

I know about the null. Working on that

I get the attached error launching 431. (Error: Reading Registry Value)

I'm then presented with a Microsoft .NET Freamework error message. I have attached screenshots of the error window and Details message as well.

I think we're having troubles setting or getting a reg key.

I'm going to add settings to be more verbose for some checking, and one of things I will catch is the parameters BEFORE a reg query, that way you can send me the _app.log, and we should find out...

I do want to remind you and anyone else trying this out... Have you started with a clean Folder. I'm going to include the "RemoveSettings.reg' file again in the new packagae. If you still have one from Version 1, use that. It will clear out the few regsitry keys that I use now

No. And certainly I need to know what happened...

Once I was in the GUI, I was able to use Ultra. IT seems to function normally (no restrictions). I never was prompted to register. Strange.

Some statistics...
My XML file is 100MB.
After launching Ultra for the first time I just clicked Go. It took 2:45 to run.
I then clicked Go again. This time it took 4:05.
Next I tried Zehd's Picks. It took 1:37:42. This is faster (40 mins) than the previous version (v1) with Zehd's Picks.
I then tried it a second time with Zehd's Picks. 18:22! This is a great improvement.

The above times were without the commit selected. But I don't think this will change the times by much.

With this kind of speed improvement, I might start at looking if I can do this at home on the machine running GBPVR. Currently I run mc2xml and Ultra at work where I have access to highspeed. At home I only have a very poor dial up connection (28.8 on good days)

On the Season/EP lookup tab, I click on the dropdown arrow for 'Programme in DB'. I received an error. I then tried clicj on the dropdown box for "Recorded Filenames in DB" and the same thing happened.

I have atteached a screenshot of the error message and am also attaching the text from the details screen. Both are for the first error described above. After quickly looking at the second message, it seems to be the same error.

Also, I think the case of the problem is that I'm running Ultra on a computer that does not have GBPVR installed.

Will not having having GBPVR installed on the computer running Ultra cause any problems? Other than having to remember to copy over the updated xml file and manually updating GBPVR?

I've updated again. Compare your version number

When you folks test, you may want to disable the UpdateEPG.bat for testing...

I suggest,

downloading new xmltv file with grabber (manually)
Running the file through Ultra, commited
Disabling the UpdateEPG.bat
Clicking GB-PVR Update EPG from the TS tab
(You will need to wait a while. there is currently no indicator that it's working or its finished (that's coming soon))

Open PVRX2 and check TV Guide...

When all is good, re-enable the UpdateEPG.bat and shut it down. Check it the next day after night;y update

I went through these steps yesterday and the listings looked OK (i.e. with episode info etc) after the manual run. This morning I checked it after the regular overnight run and there was no episode info, etc from Ultra.

I took that to mean shut down Ultra2, not to disable "Update EPG.bat". When I manually started up Ultra2 this morning, it indicated that "UPdateEPG.bat is enabled".

If it looks good manuall, then it should look good Automatically, but yes, when you are done testing, you should re-enable the UpdateEPG.bat
