I'm trying to use a Nova-t 9002 Digital card with the latest version of GBPVR and the sound is stuttering in live tv mode. It's just impossible to listen to the audio but video is perfect. When I carried out the installation and mapped the channels, the odd tv channel showed on a small window and the sound was perfect.

I'm using the latest Hauppauge 1.3 drivers, Directx 9c, dotnet 1.1 and the latest cyberlink mux filters. I've also tried a clean installation too. This card works ok with Win-Tv & Media Portal but nothing beats GB-PVR for me.

Can anyone help ??

What version of the cyberlink mux are you using?

right click on the mpgmux.ax file in windows explorer and view the properties for the file.

Hi Digiman

I think I have the same problem as yourself. I have a seperate thread here called audio problems. You said that the audio was perfect in the preview window in the Config Program -> Map digital channel screen. What happens if you change the channel a few times on the right hand side of the screen? I get perfect audio first time in this screen and then if I select another channel it all gets garbled. I only ever get garbled audio in the Live TV screen in main app.

Is the sound card sharing an IRQ with anything else relevant? Open Device Manager and select View then 'Resources by connection' then expand the Interrupt Request subtree to check this.

Thanks for the response and I'm sorry for the delay in replying as I've been away for a few days. The MpgMux version is 3.0.0.2221. I've also tried changing channels back & fwd to no avail.

I also checked my device manager interrupt settings it states:
PCI (18) Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC #2 (which is my network/internet connection) and PCI (18) SIS7012 Audio driver. None of these appears to show any conflict messages and my Nova Card seems to work ok with Media Portal, Showshifter & Win2k

I've changed the MpgMux.ax file to version 5.0.0.727 and it's still the same.

So are you saying the Nova is also on IRQ 18? If so then it might be worth moving it to a different PCI slot to force it onto a different IRQ.

I tried changing it to several ports, but it makes no difference.
