PLEASE DELETE Your existing _SeriesIDs.txt before running this new version. Ultra will download a new version automatically. Many of you have already uploaded your findings from yesterday. I downloaded and merged them all. I did some other editing to the master file and made the newest file available. Most of the info I gathered from all of your findings is there. One notable difference, (and the reason we need you to delete your existing _SeriesIDs.txt) is that I have forced all text to be lower case. This simplifies some of the duplication that I found... Where there would be two identical shows but spelled with mixed caps or lower case etc... During my tests, I noticed that the TVDB.com was very responsive today, so I ran everything I had through again, and found SeriesIDs for over 150 more shows. Now, I do not want to perpetuate some mistakes that might be in your txt file, so I will not be accepting for merge any of your uploads until you PM me to confirm that you upgraded to later than this post and had deleted your file prior to running. (I do have a few ways of checking the file, but with 5000 entries, I might still miss something...) I do not want to have code that would automatically delete the file, as many of you open and close the program many times while testing, and that would effectively reset the file every time... There are a few Contributors that are anonymous and that's totally fine. Thanks for trying this out with us all... But I will need you to also PM me, to let me know that you've upgraded... (some have opted not to include their forum handle in the registration)... or I will not be able to use your findings... Fishing! Now. Anyone wish to find Series IDS for shows recorded as No Data? If theTVDb.com is working quickly for you... There are a couple manual techniques, but I want to concentrate on the automatic way... On the cache tab, I added a non sticky check box for 'Try No Data Again'. As it implies, you check it, and then on the main, click Go. Ultra will try again, all shows that are marked No Data, and add the new found Series ID to the list. I have Ultra tally the amount of new Series IDS, I have it in the log, in case something gets messed up. But the list does not get updated unless you press the 'Stop' button or wait to 'Done'. If you kill the program half way through, log files and open text files are lost. (You can always reset to the Master by deleting the _SeriesIDs.txt file) If you have a bunch of New SerisIDs you want to share, upload them... Good luck

I seem to be having a problem trying to fetch series information. When I Click Go it seems to be return no data for anything. When I look at the _app.log file it's filled with entries like this.

Either your work is blocking or ttheDB.com isn't allowing now.

I think I figure this one out. We were testing a new proxy server at work and now that I've disable it, it seems that things are better. I will test some more by re-enabling it latter and see if that breaks again. If it breaks it again, then I'll have to see if I can open it up. If not, I might be stuck with my dail up at home. |
