Ran problem free. I think it's a first for me!!!! Big Grin

Ran it with a reduced XML file and it took 26 minutes.

Now it's time to take it home and see if I can break it.

I ran it at home with my lightening fast dial up (it connected at 31.2 k today - yahoo) and it didn't break, but I didn't try real hard eithe. I wanted to give Zehd a break.

Running mc2xml took 14 minutes to create the XML file with a reduce number of channels (Thanks LewE for the idea and zehd for making it easy). Now the XML file is only 79 MB instead of being over 100 MB. I sure once I get a chance to trim some more channels away it'll be even smaller. I'm done to about 360 channels from about 600.

Running UltraXMLTV took 41 minutes. While there were no fetches and it only downloaded 150.41 KB this time is still far better than previously. I was never able to complete previous attemps at home because I usually gave up after a couple of hours. Thanks zehd for all of your work on creating a faster program and taking us poor dial up users into account - we suffer enough just using dial up. Big Grin

And that shall be that last we hear of this 'Dial-up' you speak of.

You couldn't have hand picked two beta testers and gotten the mix you have with Tom and me.

One has a Dial-Up connection and the other wants to time shift the programming of some of the channels as downloaded from Schedules Direct. Between the two of us, we must represent a whole 0.02% of all the users of Ultra.Smile

I have what is probably a stupid question but how do I get rid of the star rating in the title of movies? I figured out to get rid of the rest of the tags I didn't want but the star rating doesn't seem to want to play nice.

I beleieve most tags can be disabled by Tag tab, select the tag and in the ToWhatTag dropdown, select '-' and save.

But now that you've got my attention, what's not playing nice.

Hey zehd, How close are you to an actual release?

The only problem I have had is the star rating in the title. I had already tried your suggestion which is what worked for the other tags. It does not seem to stop the star rating from showing in the title of movies.

I see. And you don't want to see a rating in the titles? That's cool. I'll be adding a chance to disable that soon enough..

There are very similar attributes amongst the different tags, yet some have quite specific.

I have some special stuff happening with Title, Video and Audi tags, Star Ratings, and Date formatting. Most of this is actually working, I just have to make it look right and logical in the UI.

There's a bit of tidying to be done...

What's really holding me back is proper New Show detection. Currently the detection kinda errs on the plus, which means there are perhaps more New Shows than there should be...

I also have some work to get Categories. Currently most of them just pass through.

I think many beta testers are starting to see it stabilize. I actually have about 20 users already (many more than the two vocal ones here !!!!) , and I'm thinking their silence is golden...
