I think many beta testers are starting to see it stabilize. I actually have about 20 users already (many more than the two vocal ones here !!!!) , and I'm thinking their silence is golden...

Not really but soon. Some of the features on the SeasEp tab are a little loose. They work and that's why I released Ultra to Beta, including docs, but I really wasn't happy. So I'm working on those thing and will be letting you guys go to it soon. On some original feedback from those functions, I realized that it really needs to be rock solid. Especially when I'm about to release 'recorded file management' like renaming, moving drives,directories, etc... That can (and has... OMG) caused grief.

(hey how'd you like all your shows to disappear, only 'cause they were renamed and GB-PVR thought they had disappeared...) Really good for the WAF

I having a problem running UltraXMLTV today. It appears to be looping while trying to download an episode file. When I look at the _app.log file it shows that it's looping wile trying to download "American Dad". During this looping process the "Stop" button doesn't seem to work. So there is no graceful way to stop the process and write the files.

I tried several times and then I enabled 'writing to file immediately'. I attached a copy of my log file for your reference.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent this looping?

I looked in my log and in the cache file. The episode of American Dad that you were stumbling on were on my system with no messages about any problems in downloading them.

I just tried again and am still having the problem. If I have retries set to 1 and the timeout set to 15000 ms why does it keep trying repeatedly?

Is there some way to limit the number of retries when it gets these types of errors? Also it looks like like there might be a problem with the retry could in this situation.

I particularly like the last entry below indicating that this "Could loop all night."

Way to troubleshoot... and by reading the log, we know what's wrong. Though I don't know why you had this problem.

I'm in the middle of some other things, so might be a a little bit before I get a fix...

That whole part about being lazy, when I wrote some code, I smelled a possibility of a problem and when I couldn't recreate it, I decided to just write an error handler.

Now thie section your are havging trouble with isn't connected to the web retries method.

What yo could do though is go to the cache and make sure that there are no files for any type of Amercan dad, and then edit the series_id to get rid of the listings...

Also check the Replace.ini and remove any replacemenst...

OK, I'll keep trying to see if I can get by this so I can get an updated XML file.

If my memory servers me (and most people who know me say it's lousy), I think I saw this problem during some of our earlier testing but when I tried again it worked. I keep playing around while I have time to see what I can do.
