Custom genres

I'd like to be able to add a custom genre/name/flag to my recordings at the time of scheduling them to record (or later) so that i can later go to a list of recordings with that flag/name associated with them and choose one to play,

EG:
rather than having to sift through movies, kids programs etc when wanting to watch a news recording i can just go to a list of news recordings and pick from there.

Did that make sense?

I think you want to be able to filter your recordings by genre. (Categories = genres, Tomatoes= tommahtoes) Adding anothre genre woulkd just help in filter

Yes, A person could add a custom genre, but when? Most shows would already have some genres (depending on your epg)

Anyway, getting the new genre into the epg is one problem, filtering a display is another. I don't think default GB-PVR can do it. (Genres really only come into play with Genre colours.

I think TV Listings can do that. But I haven't needed that
