Error after downloading V2.0.3370.35835

Looking closer I see that the xmlreader is having trouble with an Overview tag, which is telling me that one of the episode.xml files is bad or corrupt. I can't tell which one.

Maybe try and set logging to nuts, and write2 file immediately, and run it though. We might find which one is bad. If you find it, hold onto it (move it out of cache) Ultra should be OK then...

I hope I'm on the right track. I know I already have some checking for bad txt file reading, and it usualy deletes and redownloads.

Do you have an intermittent Internet connection? I might have changed something ( in a bad way) by working in net check routine.

I deleted all the filesyou suggested and deleted all the contents in the cache folder but it still does it. It looks like it is doing it everytime it creates this the attached xml. If I delete it just gets recreated and crahes.

Thanks. Yes, I had one like that for Sesame Street. It's a non conforming XML. The only thing I could do was to error check it and then ignore. I'm pretty sure that the latest version will skip over that

K. I definitely found out why. That file has an illegal <br></br> (as if it's html). and the xml reader is choking.

I have my web retries set to 0. That's probably why it was ok for me. Try the next version up in a few minutes. (I won't be posting the release number...)

If that still doesn't work, then it's time to test the Dont.Fetch mechanism.

In the cache, create a blank text file and name it

Rawhide.Dont.Fetch

I think it IS case sensitive... Now Ultra will not even try...

This isn't cool. I don't know why, I can avoid the noid with my set up now that I've patched it. It still finds the bad xml, reads, errors and skips, whether I have 0 or 1 web retry...

It still gave me the error on the newest version but the "Rawhide.Dont.Fetch" did work to get around it.

K the next version should work... That's because I manually found the seriesID for Rawhide, and forced into the master file online.

When you use the latest version, and it downloads a temp master to merge into your own serieid, the id will be be added. then Ultra will be able to download the correct Episode.xml when it's time, and so a seasep query.

You will need to delete the dont.fetch file. Version will be up in two minutes

Unfortunately, I still don't know how to fix it so the error doesn't happen for others...

We were able to find out what file, and confirm it was bad. There is errorhandling to skip over the bad file, but for some reason, the error skip isn't working for you.

Anyway, I manually found the seriesID, added it to the online master, and then your Ultra should (you haven't confirmed yet but...) work...

Maybe your system is using slightly different system dlls and different error numbers. If you don't mind, maybe I can give you a version that will msgbox all err.numbers from that routine (and then resume next). You just have to let me know the error number...
