That looks like it fixed it for me.

Quote:Maybe your system is using slightly different system dlls and different error numbers. If you don't mind, maybe I can give you a version that will msgbox all err.numbers from that routine (and then resume next). You just have to let me know the error number...

I do not mind just let me know what I need to do.

Great...

First, edit your _SeriesID.txt so there is no rawhide=70635 or no data or anything rawhide...

then delete the Rawhide.Episode.xml (And the Dont.Fetch is gone already, right?)

Next, edit this registry key (add if it isn't there)

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UltraXMLTV\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer]
"Beta"=dword:00000001

(I'm sorry, but I've hidden some tabs, and we need to get at them for this test)

Next using this file, launch Ultra

On the SeasEp Tab, type 'rawhide' in the first drop down list at the top (List of shows from the SeriesID.txt)

Hit Query. You should get No Data. That's good.

Next, click fetch. This is wehere you will get the error. I'm hoping you see error 5 with somehing about 'br' blahblah. Make note if it doesn't seem like what I'm talking about. Click OK. Is the clock still ticking? Can you dropdownj and select other shows (is it still responsive?)

Let me know, thanks

Here is what I get. The program is still responsive but the timer never counts. Also, I do not know what has changed but hardly any programs are getting marked as new with an *. The below example was marked new until I updated Ultra today.

OK. THanks for the error number. Kinda Ps me off, because that's exactly what I get, and yet you get the error unless I do the manual work around...

Can you zip and send your original xmltv file to zehd1963 at hot mail .com ? I'll see what's going on. I suspect that Ultra isn't auto detecting your file format correctly, and it's using the wrong New Show Detection.

I'm calling it quits for tonight, but I'll look at your file tomorrow...

First The Good. Yes. This version does a much more thorough job of new show detection for Schedules Direct. It's nice to see a whole bunch more shows being identified as First Run.

Now the Uh Oh.

I know you don't want screen caps but it is the best way to hilight the issue. It is the popup detailed listing from TV Listings.

Note that the show date is April 3 (and that is where it correctly appears in the EPG Listings) but it indicates that the original date is April 4.

In the previous xml, what gave you the indicator that it was a show on april 3?

The only date stamp there is is: 04040100 which is 1:00 am of April 4, so that mean it's correct.

See, currently, Ultra via whurston's xmltv.dll cannot see the date tag. It sees an Original Date tag which is calculated by using the previously-shown tag the date tag and the start time... The logic for that isn't working correctly all the time, and that's where I'm having trouble. I'm waiting for whurston to fix it so that all three tags are exposed to my program and I can tweak the logic...

In your original xml, there is a 4 digit date which is not a full date so the logic takes the start time.

Seriously, I can't do anything with it yet. But the descrpency falls within a week or so, and so the New Show Detection seems to work OK.

What really bothers me though is that a Movie, is displaying a date at all. It should only be a year...

zehd Wrote:In the previous xml, what gave you the indicator that it was a show on april 3?
Yes. That is the date it shows up in the GBPVR listings and is the actual air date for the show. See my screen cap from the earlier message. I think I brought this up in one of my previous messages. I can't see how the listing gets placed correctly in the GBPVR EPG when the XML file no longer has the necessary information to correctly place it.

Quote:The only date stamp there is is: 04040100 which is 1:00 am of April 4, so that mean it's correct.
I think this is due to the processing before Ultra gets to use the XML file which does something with the date and GMT Offset in the <program> record. The show actually airs at 6:00pm on April 3. See below for the xml file as it was downloaded (and processed by me) from Pocket TV Browser. Note that it has the date in the program record being the actual date and air time for the show and the GMT offset field shows my offset of 7 hours.

In your original xml, there is a 4 digit date which is not a full date so the logic takes the start time.
From what I've seen about the zap2it listing data, they put the year-month-day in the <date> record for the original air date of programs (non-movies) and they put the Release Year in the date field for movies. As far as I can tell, there are tow ways to tell a listing is for a movie: the <date> record is just a 4 digit year or the episode number begins with "MV".

Quote:Seriously, I can't do anything with it yet. But the descrpency falls within a week or so, and so the New Show Detection seems to work OK.
I'm not sure what you are getting at. From what I've seen, at least in previous releases, you only flag a show as "New" if the orig air date was within x days, but only looking backward, not forward (which should be a case that never happens).

I don't understand why you say this was flagged as a New Show. There is no * or other indication of that.

Quote:What really bothers me though is that a Movie, is displaying a date at all. It should only be a year...
I agree. That seems to be something within Ultra's processing.

The New Show, the dates, they're all connected.

Anyway, it's quite possible that the xmltv.dll, by removing the offset, is messing with the grand scheme of things. But I can't really deal with the dates, and the offset until they are correctly exposed to me....
