OK enough of the accronyms, but been using my PCH with WOL for a whiel and works good, decided to use the NCI to see if the use of GBPVR was any slicker from startup (which it is) but problem now is that I have lost the WOL facility.

Anybody know what script changes nee to be made. I copied the WOL exe to the apps directory and ammended the daemon.cgi script I think it was adding the WOL command that I have been using, but all I get is "Started" on a grey background from the PCH

Anybody know what commands I need to use.

I give up with NCI - a quick search only shows your post containing it!

I've also been using WOL and am very happy with it - 75% of the time the server wakes up and connects before mvpmcx2 times out and the rest of the time just needs running again. This is on my own, unsupported script.

So, have you a pointer to what may be a streamlined starup method?

Martin I assume you mean a way to autoboot into GBPVR, NCI gives a quicker way to get to this from web services than the scripts I have been using, but if there is a way of a shortcut onto the front screen using scripts I would be more than happy.

I must find some time to have a play.

I think srhutch means CSI I would not recommend changing these scripts without posting a message to Ger Teunis on the NMT forum. There isn't really a good way to add command line variables or dvd mounts etc the prime goal is to provide a simple means for people who really want to have a taste of GBPVR. I think the share method is every bit as fast and more configurable. You can add the link to gbpvr.cgi as a Web Service if you find that more friendly, I've written more than one post on this already.

must admit thought CSI was the future :o

will have to stick to the existing scripts then.

I consider that CSI is the future for hard disk based installs, especially for existing PCH users who have not used GBPVR before. It's simply that support for CSI is on the NMT forum not here.
