Sub,

I have a Pace box (little black box type - no On Demand) feeding a Hauppauge HVR-1600, and I use TS Mux. (It sometimes glitches, though and sound sync goes off). I am on Comcast in Oregon. I have a place I can put a capture if you want. Let me know if I can help.

I have the same box, they have cheap decoders in them and so they seem to get out of sync alot. BTW which blaster setup are you using to control yours?

Sorry, can't help you there. I got the card bare from a friend without the remote or anything else. I mostly use it for watching TV on my monitor while working on my computer, so I didn't need it. Once in a while I record things, but just use the guide to set the channel and time and it works fine (except for the occasional sync problem - not all the time, just sometimes).

Comcast of Meadowlands, New Jersey here. let me know if i can be of any help.

I have following QAM broadcasts here (not all and not always in HD, including some locals):
WCBS HD
WNYW (FOX)
WABC HD
WPIX HD
WNET HD (PBS)
WLIW

had also WWOR HD and FOX HD but they got lost somewhere.

and a few others digital channels that move around a lot, so i don't use them.
although in last 6 months I noticed channel frequency swapping between broadcasted stations, last time in June. probably I should do a full re-scan, but i'm too lazy Wink

one last thing, i do not have a set top box, all of those channels I feed straight from coax cable to digital tuner in my PC.

I found Cable companies change around there Clear QAM to different location, according to FCC cable companies requires them to provide local channels in clear QAM with OTA analog gone but don't have to tell us which channels they are. A long story short you have to rescan channels from time to time to keep up. I have be trying to get Cox to give me a list of clear QAM but they refuse and keep telling me I need there gateway to get HDTV on my cable. So for now I'm stuck with good old analog signals. Been looking at the tuner that us a cable card for my PVR but at $299.00 for the DCT which requires a PID to get it running with Vista or Windows 7 not sure it is worth the pain or not.

I pay $2 each month for cable cards from Cox (I have 2 DCT's) and have had many discussions with Cox since 2006 about QAM. I've had techs in my house so many times when setting up those tuners I've made friends with them. They will tell you that Cox sees no money in QAM. Why rent a card for $2 when you get rent a DVR for $10? They try not to support it if possible and I believe many other ISP's as well.
In the New Orleans area, the QAM has rarely changed. Just 2 weeks after the transition, they've started moving channels around but have kept the local channels the same throughout.
I love the cable cards but it's not the easiest set up and with SDV and Tru2way working it's way around the states, you might pay for something you can't fully use.
If you do bite the bullet, you need to use OEM hardware and get a PID key to use the cards. It's not cheap.

How to install a CableCARD tuner in your DIY Media Center

http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/05/12/how...ia-center/

Still have the $299.00 Card cost, Cable Card there is no difference then using one in a TV or TIVO Cox don't support that either all they do is show up and try activated it and nothing more which you know by now...Smile
