Let me first say hi to all, I'm so excited about this project.

I tried for a year to get myth tv working and was never happy.

I then moved back to vista and it was ok just a resource hog.

I'm now using windows 7 build 7100 and love the MCE.

Then my dreams we're answered and I found GBPVR, so lets begin with my questions.

Please read my sig for system spec's,

I have spent some time reading and did a clean install of 1.3.11. I then installed the latest version of ffdshow, dscaler, divx and tsconverter. I also am using a logitech remote with MCE settings.

I then went through the GBPVR configuration, I changed the default locations for music, pictures and movies and removed the one that said default /c:.

I set up the epg with cogeco canada and have only used the analog so far, i have an account for with Schedules Direct and this went fine as well.

I then went in and ran the tuning assistant and made sure all my channels worked. this was good as well. I could see all my channels in the little preview.

Ok here is when the fun starts,
1. I have setup GBPVR to run in full mode but it always runs in a window, even if i choose not windowed in the config.
2. when i run mix checker no mixer is found.
3. when I click on live tv nothing happens.
4. when i open the guide nothing happens.
5. If I try and go to Movies, Music, or Pictures my directories are not there (the ones I added on the config page).

I know this is alot to ask for one post and if I have missed something or not followed the forums rules please just let me know.

Thanks Kev

Kev,

Welcome to the forums!

Contained within the GBPVR directories are logs which will help in identifying your issues. Please take a look at the sticky "posting support questions" is has all the directions uploading your logs.

Do you see you channels listed in your capture source settings?

TNX, I hope this is the right way of posting log files.

Quote:2009-07-02 00:29:07.329 ERROR [1] Unexpected error in direct task: GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
The app thinks you dont have any channels setup. In could be Win7 file protection getting in the way.

Try deleting the "C:\Users\<Your Account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Devnz" directory, then try seeing if you can start the app and see the TV Guide.

If that doesnt help, then its most likely caused by your capture source's EPG not being setup correctly.

Thanks Kev

has anyone had an issue reading your media libraries?

Is it ok to remove the default location that says C:/

Thanks for the help so far, I had an issue trying to dual boot my main machine and have not had time to play with my htpc, but when I get home today i'll try and remove what SUB has posted.

What problem exactly? Reproduce the problem, then zip and email your pvrx2.exe.log and I'll take a look.

Whats the problem with the media libraries? ie, describe what happens.

That log posted above shows the following message, so see my earlier post.

Ok when I start gbpvr and select the movies tab, all I see is c:/ts, I have added my D, E, and F drive, this is where all my movies are, and none of my movies are showing.
