UltraXMLTV: What's up with it anyway?

Recently I dug into my stats think I see an issue where users are having trouble in one way or another.

I was wondering if Ultra users (or even interested parties) could chime in and tell me what is wrong...

Out of 175 registrations, only about 15-20 of you are using it on a daily basis. There are others that have not used it for a week or so, telling me you likely run it manually.

Then there are those that tried it and then didn't use it after that. At all.

Why?

Too difficult to install?
Too confusing? (Too many docs?)
It crashed, and you didn't have the patience to see if it could be fixed?
Online registration a deterrent?
Ultra version 1 working just fine...?
It's summertime - GB-PVR what?
Something else?

I'd like to know what I should do. As much as I really appreciate the support I do have, it might not be worth the effort of working any further on the project, if there aren't enough interested people.

I use version 1 and it does what I want.
Version 1 allows me to format the Series & Episode numbers.
I'm lazy and if it aint broke ...

Getting Series & Episode numbers is vital to me in a TV world that has a zillion repeats every week and the format I use is easy to read from the sofa. I'd switch to V2 if I could have S. 01 Ep. 01 in my titles.

Yep, that was something I was going to add when V2 took off...

All I do is add is the original air date to the end of the description & V1 handles that. I didn't see any reason to update to V2 since V1 works so well.

In my case, the simple lack of depth/data in the tv listings available for Portugal, takes away the need/use for it.

Thanks for asking - I have been meaning to ask what I needed to do to get V2 to auto run with EPGUPDATE.BAT (or some other way?). I think it may be a problem with my XMLTV grabber. I need to browse to the C:\EPG\xmltv.exe\xmltv - run.bat file to run Ultra2 even in the manual mode every time. It saves the path I am using XMLTV.EXE version 2007.11.5.11 with Schedules Direct. Ultra@ runs fine in the manual mode as long as I first browse to the xmlyv - run.bat file first then click the GO button for C:\EPG\xmltv.exe.xml and then click on START UPDATE EPG.

This is my updateEPG.bat file but it never updates the EPG so I run Ultra2 manually every few days:

The only reason I manually update is strictly due to my PC. I've got three fans running (1 power supply, 2 system), but sometimes my system will crap out on heat issues when I update so I have to monitor it.

I really like the app and the wife loves the info she can get from it.
