I do not know how to write a plugin, but thought it would be cool if someone could develop one to show the times the International Space Station and Space Shuttle would be flying over your area. The data can be had here http://www.spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata...index.html Any takers?

If you follow thru on the left side part of the page, drilling down to country/state/city.. and then get the sightings page.. notice the RSS option.
You can plug that rss page into the RSSReader plugin.

Couple of clicks via the remote on GBPVR and you have the latest sighting data!

I will have to try that plugin again. I had troubles with the Blue Retro SHV skin as I remember. Thanks for the suggestion!

It isn't one of the plugins I had considered for my own use, but now you have got me very interested in having a look/play Wink

I do say on the wiki
Quote:"Add support for other plug-ins as I get time — for much faster updates please post a request for the Plug-in skin you would like modified in the forum (link below)"
but I must admit I have basically just waited for users to ask for a modified/B-R-SHV plugin skin before I spend my time on making one but from my quick look at the RSS page on the wiki I can see it will need modified for B-R-SHV.

I think Torrents gave me the same problems. Could you take a look at that too?http://forums.gbpvr.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

By "same problems" what do you mean? Not having a dedicated B-R-SHV plugin skin shouldn't stop the plugin from working it may be difficult (depending on how bad/old your eyes are) even impossible to read on a TV screen while sitting down. If you couldn't actually get them to work did you follow the steps under "More on Plug-in compatibility"?

Quote:I have also tested a number of other Plug-ins & found (while they may not look right at least they work)

For later plug-ins that don’t work try copying the plugin skin sub directory out of ..\skin2\blue\”plugin_skin” into ..\skin2\Blue-Retro-SHV\”plugin_skin” this got the ones I tried working.

I will try it again and let you know. If I remember right, I had to switch to Blue to make it work, regardless of dropping the skin files in to SHV from Blue. Let me try it before you spend time on Torrents. Sorry, I should have started a new thread on this. These eyes are 43 y/o Wink

Done, you can get it on the wiki & check it out.

I see you created a new skin for RSSReader. I will try to get to it tomorrow (suppose to rain). I can't wait!

I already gave away the spec on my TV. Yeah, I need an eye appointment! Ha Smile
